Classes with Prerequisites

Advanced and Advanced Teen Classes: Dancers should have instructor recommendation and supervisor approval to register. Pointe: Dancers should have instructor and supervisor approval and must pass the pointe test. Please contact Rockie Veverka at 630.554.4478 or rveverka@oswegolandpd.org with questions regarding class placement. Jazz Based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement. Dancers will work on progressions and technique including leaps, turns and kicks. They will develop a sense of musicality and rhythm along with coordination, flexibility, and control. Tan jazz shoes required. Tap Dancers will learn musicality and rhythm through tap technique and combinations. As students progress to intermediate and advanced tap, they will work on developing clean tap sounds, increase speed, and focus on more stylized and complex combinations. Dancers should have instructor and supervisor approval to register for intermediate or advanced tap.
