Spring Shape Up Spring is the perfect season to get in shape! In this program, participants receive a weekly group workout, optional weigh-in, and Q&A with an experienced group fitness instructor. Discover different fitness modalities as well as receive accountability to keep you motivated and moving. Please bring a mat to class. With 20 minutes of step, strength training, and yoga you can check cardio, strength, and a deep stretch off your list for the week. Stretch & Flex Flexibility training can help reduce pain and stiffness, decrease stress, enhance performance and minimize wear and tear on joints. Using active and passive stretching, this class will focus on breath and tension release throughout the body. Props such as foam roll ers, straps and balls will be used to improve range of motion and help enhance daily activities. Yoga for Bones & Balance Research shows yoga can improve bone density and help reduce bone loss. Learn specific poses to build stronger bones, improve balance and posture as well as increase muscle mass. These will work to combat os teoporosis and other issues that can occur with aging and injuries. Please bring a yoga mat to class. Zumba Dance your worries away with high energy music and the unique moves of Zumba. This “feel-happy” work out is great for both the body and mind. Modifications given as needed. Active Citizens Exercising Slowly and gently, stretch your muscles to feel better and have more energy. Exercise weights and videos are used in class. Wear clothes that you can move easily in. This is a year-round, on-going program. There is no fee to participate and no registration necessary. Boulder Point Tuesday/Thursday 8:15-9:15am Free Indoor Walking Why drive to the mall to walk? Come to the Civic Center and walk for Free in our large fitness room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-10am. Please bring clean, dry shoes. Waiver required. Take control of your health and get the guidance you need from a Registered Dietician. Weight management, disease pre vention and control, disordered eating, and athlete nutrition are common topics.
