The Legend of the Fox Start the 2025 Earth Day observance early with the Heritage Association’s video recounting the exploits of the Fox Valley’s own home-grown ecological activist, The Fox. A discussion will follow. Pre-registration and walk-ins welcome. The museum will accept submissions of one photograph per person containing anything non explicit within the borders of the village of Oswego or an Oswegoland Park District property that you believe captures the essence and beauty of Oswego. Email submission to jnoce@oswegolandpd.org or drop your photograph off during museum hours to have your submission displayed. Submissions accepted May 1-15, and will be displayed in the Museum’s gallery from May 16-31. During the display, patrons may vote on their favorite photograph. The photograph receiv ing the most votes will be framed and hung in the museum. Family Historical Board Game Night Gather with fellow history enthusiasts for a night of fun at Historical Board Game Night. This event invites participants to explore whimsical and historical fun through board games designed to engage minds and spark conversation. Whether you’re a seasoned strate gist or just looking for a fun, low-pressure experience, there will be something for everyone. Bring your curiosity, your competitive spirit, a friend, or the whole family as we roll the dice and explore the past in a whole new way! An adult must accompany children. Registration is per family. Community Cookbook Do you have a personal or family recipe and want to share it with the community? From April 1-30, email your recipe to jnoce@oswegolandpd.org or drop off during museum hours with a description of what it means to you or the community and we will compile it in our community cookbook! At the end of the month we will post the cookbook to our website to download for free, and host an event to showcase some of the recipes.
