Stage Ready Audition Workshop

Create comedy in the moment and entertain on your feet with Improv! Learn building blocks of improv, like listening, agreement, and understanding emotions. These skills are important on stage and in life! Improv exercises and games help develop focus and encourage teamwork. This is the first phase of a young actor’s improv adventure. Improv exercises and games help develop focus, foster creativity, and encourage teamwork. This is a great place for actors to continue their improv adventure. Conquer your fears and inhibitions by learning the proper techniques to help you land that dream role. Learn the basics of the audition process in a comfort able environment and gain insight into what directors look for in an audition. We’ll use techniques to help with memorized monologues and cold reads. We will focus on different eras and style of musical theater. We’ll cover classics & contemporary hits. Participants will perform numbers at PrairieFest over Father’s Day weekend.
