Pointe Dancers will use previously learned ballet technique while dancing on pointe. Class will include a variation of exercises and combinations at the barre, in center, and across the floor, while continuing to strengthen legs, feet, and ankles. Instructor and supervisor approval needed to register for this course. Dancer should be simultaneously enrolled in Advanced Ballet or Advanced Teen Ballet and have passed the Pointe test. Ballet Students will focus on terminology, flexibility, proper body positions and alignment through barre and center work. As students progress to intermediate, advanced and advanced teen, they will expand upon technique, refine their skills and prepare for pointe work. Intermediate, Advanced, & Advanced Teen Lyrical-Contemporary: Supervisor and instructor approval needed to register for this course. Pre Pointe & Pointe: Dancers should have instructor and supervisor approval and should be enrolled in intermediate or advanced ballet. Advanced Tap: Dancers should have instructor recommendation and supervisor approval to register for this course. Advanced & Advanced Teen Hip Hop: Dancers should have instructor recommendation and supervisor approval to register for this course. Lyrical-Contemporary This combination class gives dancers the opportunity to use emotion and mood of music to respond to move ment. Dancers will also work on fluidity, improvisa tion and versatility.
