Pre Pointe Prepare for the physical demands and responsibili ties of pointe work by doing specific strengthening exercises for your legs, ankles, and feet. Dancers will also learn pointe shoe anatomy and terminology. Instructor and supervisor approval needed to register for this course. Class will include a variation of exercises and combinations at the barre, in center, and across the floor, while continuing to strengthen legs, feet, and ankles. Instructor and supervisor approval needed to register for this course. Dancer should be simultaneously enrolled in Advanced Ballet or Advanced Teen Ballet and have passed the Pointe test. Advanced and Advanced Teen Classes: Dancers should have instructor recommendation and supervisor approval to register. Pointe: Dancers should have instructor and supervisor approval and must pass the pointe test. Dancers will work on progressions and technique including leaps, turns and kicks. They will develop a sense of musicality and rhythm along with coordination, flexibility, and control. Tan jazz shoes required. Dress Rehearsal will take place May 28 & 29. Specific times will be distributed in February. Please see chart for performance groups. Recital groups are subject to change based on program participation. ■ Recital costumes are included in class fee. ■ Dance attire information can be found on our website, danceoswegoland.org. ■ Additional recital information will be includ ed in our newsletter that will be emailed to all participants and available on our website. Tickets: Show tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 28 at 9:00am for Shows A and B and Wednesday, April 29 at 9:00am for Show C. Tickets are not in cluded in the class fee and will cost $14 per seat.

As students progress to intermediate and advanced tap, they will work on developing clean tap sounds, increase speed, and focus on more stylized and complex combinations.
