Kids Go Wild Wilderness Scavenger Hunt Join a wilderness scavenger hunt at Saw Wee Kee Park to explore animal tracks, trees, wildlife, and invasive plant species. Participants will learn about nature and the environment while trekking through the woods and trails. Dress for the weather and wear mud appropriate footwear. Community Concert & Picnic Pack a picnic and enjoy a concert in the park with your friends, family, and neighbors as the Aurora American Legion Band performs. (ZD) All Ages ● Prairie Point Community Park Thursday, July 16 ● 6:30–8:00pm Adult Co-Ed Mud Volleyball Tournament Co-Ed Mud Volleyball Tournament. Each team is guaranteed 3 games. Teams can have 6-8 players. Registration closes 7/14. There are no refunds for this event. Registration is per team. Each pair will receive a stuffy kit to build their new cuddly friend from start to finish. To make it even more meaningful, participants will have the option to include a voice recorder inside their stuffy, perfect for capturing a heartfelt message, a favorite saying, or a simple “I love you” to treasure for years to come. This event is priced per couple. Please register under the child’s name. $16/additional child. Oswego250WheelsOn Parade We’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday! Bring your wheels - bikes, scooters, and strollers. We’ll have decorating stations for you to turn that vehicle into a float, or you can come with it already decorated. We’ll have awards for creativity. The Oswego Wheels On Parade will kick off at the pavilion at 11:00am and wind its festive way through the Prairie Point trail before finishing at the Splash Pad for some fun and refreshments. Registration is not necessary. (MD) All Ages ● Prairie Point Community Park 32980 Jul 3 Fri 10:00am-12:00pm Free Oswego250 Floatin’ Down The Fox We’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday! Bring your floating device to Hudson Crossing Park. Whether it is tube, kayak, SUP, or canoe, we’ll enjoy the Fox River from Hudson to Saw Wee Kee Park. The Park District will supply transportation when you get out of the water. Buses will be available from 1:00-3:30pm. Those getting in the water at 2pm can join our historic guide who will tell you what history you’ll be passing by during your float. Registration is not necessary. Children under 16 will need to have an adult accompany them. The Village is honoring this historic year with a community-wide celebration filled with patriotism, pride, and hometown spirit. More information on Independence Day events, hosted by the Village of Oswego and their Oswego 250 commission, can be found at oswegoil.org or by calling Village Hall at 630.554.3618. Kids Go Wild Fort Building Kids Go Wild heads to Waa Kee Sha to build forts using wood, hammers, nails, blankets, and duct tape. The morning is filled with creative construction and skill-building. Participants need to bring a hammer, safety glasses, and a sack lunch. (MD) Age: 7 - 14 ● Waa Kee Sha Park 31672 Jul 16 Thu 9:00-11:00am $20(R)/$35(N) Kids Go Wild Fire Building & Cooking Children are visiting Waa Kee Sha to learn fire building with a focus on safety and nature respect. They’ll gather materials like tinder, kindling, and firewood. Afterward, they’ll conclude the day by
