AI for Medicine: Train a Disease-Detecting Model This course, part of the Future of Medicine Camp, teaches the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence applied to health care. Students will be introduced to machine learning concepts and train a computer model to analyze simulated medical data, learning how AI assists doctors in pattern recognition, classification, and diagnostics. This is a look at the future of clinical analysis. Students will construct a model house and learn how to wire it with miniature solar panels and wind turbines, exploring core concepts of energy efficiency, smart grid integration, and power infrastructure. This foundational course is perfect for students interested in urban planning. Kit is included. Wearable Health Tech: Build a Heart Monitor Students dive into the world of bioelectronics and data acquisition by building and coding a functional health sensor device. This course, part of the Future of Medicine Camp, focuses on circuit building, connecting sensors to microcontrollers, and displaying real-time bio-data like heart rate, introducing students to the core concepts of clinical monitoring. Please bring Mother-Daughter POUND Pop Up This special Pop Up class is geared toward Mother Daughter combos but all are welcome! Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing fun of playing the drums! Teen Introduction to Babysitting
Thinking about babysitting? This class will give you the essential skills to be a confident, responsible, and fun caregiver. Through small group discussions, role playing, and hands-on planning of age-appropriate games and crafts, students will actively engage in every part of the learning experience. Participants will also receive an overview of basic first aid and lifesaving techniques to help them feel prepared for any situation. Reference sheets and other helpful materials are included in the class fee. Please bring a sack lunch and a beverage to class. Counselor-In-Training Develop your leadership skills by joining the Counselor-In-Training Program. CIT’s will receive on-the-job training and learn how to complete job applications, interview for jobs, plan crafts and games for the campers, and attend the field trips. Junior leaders can choose to be involved with programs such as Camp Connection, early childhood programs, and morning swim lessons. Interested participants must fill out a CIT Application packet. Upon receipt of the CIT Application packet, an interview will be scheduled with interested participants. Upon acceptance, participants may register for the CIT program. There is a cost for this program.
