Robotics & SumoBot Camp Learn about robotics by designing and programming LEGO and Matrix robots to compete in a SumoBot competition. Kids will learn the physics and concepts of robots through building and programing - controlling motors, reading sensors - that lead to a competition at the end of the camp. An understanding of the engineering process combined with fun competition will provide students a great way to get started in robotics. Students will learn how to problem solve, work in teams and deal with failure, all skills needed in the real world. Instructor: Chasewood Learning Staff. (CL-C) Age: 8 - 14 ● Boulder Point 33096 Jul 13-17 M-F 2:15-5:15pm $354(R)/$460(N) Chasewood Learning STEMMedleyCamp LEGO Robotics, Engineering, and Coding all in one camp! Each day students will work on a STEM activity, including building and programming with LEGO robotics, building LEGO mechanical engineering projects, and programming animations and games on computers with MIT’s Scratch. This is a great way to explore everything! Students should be familiar with using a computer. Instructor: Chasewood Learning Staff. Build a Real Weather Station This course, part of the Sustainable Futures STEAM Camp, introduces students to environmental data collection and analysis. Students will build and code a functional weather station using a microcontroller and specialized sensors to measure and log real-time data like temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. Understanding how to collect this data is vital for climate research and modeling! Kit included. (CL - C) Age: 8 - 13 ● Boulder Point 33084 Aug 3-4 M-T 9:15am-12:15pm $215(R)/$290(N) Ready Set Code Smart Recycling Robot Bin This course, part of the Sustainable Futures STEAM Camp, teaches mechatronics and introductory block-based coding by challenging students to build a functional, small-scale recycling bin. Students assemble the bin and code an ultrasonic sensor and a servo motor to create an automatic, hands-free lid that opens when motion is detected. Kit included. (CL-C) Age: 8 - 14 ● Boulder Point 33087 Aug 5-6 W-Th 9:15am-12:15pm $215(R)/$290(N) Ready Set Code
Solar Racer Engineering Challenge Students will dive into green mechanics and electrical wiring by building a functioning vehicle powered entirely by the sun. This course, part of the Sustainable Futures STEAM Camp, focuses on optimizing gear ratios, wiring electrical circuits, and maximizing battery efficiency to convert light energy into motion. This is a practical, engaging challenge in sustainable transport and engineering. Kit included. (CL-C) Age: 8 - 13 ● Boulder Point 33083 Jul 22-23 W-Th 9:15am-12:15pm $215(R)/$290(N) Ready Set Code 3D Printed Bionics & Prosthetics Lab This course, part of the Future of Medicine Camp, introduces students to biomechanical design and additive manufacturing. Students will use advanced CAD software to model and 3D print components for a functional, articulating prosthetic hand, learning about fitting, movement, and patient-centered design. This high-tech, applied experience in assistive technology is not to be missed. Kit is included. (CL-C) Age: 8 - 13 ● Boulder Point 33078 Jun 8-9 M-T 9:15am-12:15pm $215(R)/$290(N) Ready Set Code
