Monday Miles Thanks to our partners, Monday Miles will be a fun way to be active by running or walking 1, 2, or 3 miles each Monday evening from 6/1-8/3. Come to seven or more Mondays and earn a commemorative event t-shirt. Work all summer and set your goal for the final week’s bib-timed run. Monday Miles will return to a mass start at 6:15pm! Course will be open until 7:15pm. (ZD) Registration will take place at Monday Miles and at bit.ly/mondaymiles26 Have Fun? You Won! Kids Triathlon Kids are filled with the energy to swim, bike, and run to the finish line. Coordinated in partnership with the School District’s Physical Education teachers, 3rd through 8th graders compete in this non-continuously timed event consisting of a 100m swim, a 3 mile bike ride, and a ½ mile run (7/8 graders will run 1 mile). While awards are given to the fastest in each division, the real winners are all the spirited students who bolt from the start and head towards every finish. Everyone receives a t-shirt and finisher medal. Park District athletic events are non-refundable. Registration deadline is September 20. Gobbler Hobbler 10K & Mashed Potato Mile
Since 1985, we’ve celebrated Fall with a scenic 10K run down the Fox River and through beautiful downtown Oswego! The chip-timed course begins and ends at Fox Chase Elementary School. Runners registered by 10/30 are guaranteed a hooded sweatshirt. Athletes are invited to enjoy Gobbler Hobbler’s famous complimentary walking pancakes after the run. Saw Wee Kee Trail Run Series Take on the challenge of the Oswegoland Park District’s trail run series at Saw Wee Kee Park! This natural course winds through soft paths with plenty of twists, turns, and elevation changes, making for a thrilling run whether you’re navigating muddy conditions or dashing through fields of wildflowers. Runners are timed using bibs and start at staggered intervals. Each race in the series offers a unique course, seasonal swag, and a different piece of a collectible medal. (ZD) Register online at bit.ly/swkseries26 Age: 12 & up ● Saw Wee Kee Park $35 each Saw Wee Kee - Summer Saturday, June 6 ● 4:00pm Saw Wee Kee - Fall Saturday, October 17 ● 3:00pm PrairieFest 5K & One Mile Prairie Dog Jog Celebrate Father’s Day with a chip-timed 5K run through Oswego’s friendly neighborhoods or the One Mile Prairie Dog Jog around Prairie Point Community Park. The PrairieFest 5K will get started at 8:00am with the One Mile Prairie Dog Jog starting at 8:10am. Medals for first through third place finishers in each age group in the 5K. All runners registered by June 3 are guaranteed a shirt. There are no refunds for athletic events. (ZD).
