Puddle Jumpers Morning They’ve spent the summer having fun in the sun; now let your little ones flirt with the dirt! Come with your end of the season sand and water toys and let your preschooler explore, play, dig, roll, splash and jump all without a single call to “stay out of the dirt!” Parents stay to play with their puddle jumper free of charge, older siblings must wait until Pig Pen Afternoon to play. Kids and parents should wear clothes and shoes that can be disposed of, and have protection for car seats on the way home. Pre-register today for $10 or come that morning with your $12 and be ready to roll - in the mud! Pre-registration ends July 31. Saw Wee Kee Trail Run Series Take on the challenge of the Oswegoland Park District’s trail run series at Saw Wee Kee Park! This natural course winds through soft paths with plenty of twists, turns, and elevation changes, making for a thrilling run whether you’re navigating muddy conditions or dashing through fields of wildflowers. Runners are timed using bibs and start at staggered intervals. Each race in the series offers a unique course, seasonal swag, and a different piece of a col lectible medal. Complete all four runs in 2025 to finish the medal. (ZD) Register online at bit.ly/swkseries25 Age: 12 & up ● Saw Wee Kee Park $30 each Saw Wee Kee - Summer Saturday, May 31 4:00pm Monday Miles Thanks to Carol Guist of Baird & Warner Monday Miles will be a fun way to be active by running or walking 1, 2, or 3 miles each Monday evening. Come to seven or more Mondays and earn a commemorative 2025 event t-shirt. Work all summer and set your goal for the final week’s bib-timed run. Monday Miles will return to a mass start at 6:15pm! Course will be open until 7:15pm. Registration will take place at Monday Miles and online. PrairieFest 5K & One Mile Prairie Dog Jog Celebrate Father’s Day with a chip-timed 5K run through Oswego’s friendly neighborhoods or the One Mile Prairie Dog Jog around Prairie Point Community Park. The PrairieFest 5K will get started at 8:00am with the One Mile Prairie Dog Jog starting at 8:10am. Medals for first through third place finishers in each age group in the 5K. All runners registered by June 3 are guaranteed a shirt. There are no refunds for athletic events. (ZD) Register online at bit.ly/pfest5k25 Sunday, June 15 ● 8:00am Prairie Point Park PrairieFest 5K February 1 - April 30: $35 May 1 - June 3: $40 One Mile Prairie Dog Jog $20 through June 3 Kids Triathlon Kids are filled with the energy to swim, bike, and run to the finish line. Coordinated in partnership with the School District’s Physical Education teachers, 3rd through 8th graders compete in this non-continuously timed event consisting of a 100m swim, a 3 mile bike ride, and a ½ mile run (7/8 graders will run 1 mile). While awards are given to the fastest in each division, the real winners are all the spirited students who bolt from the start and head towards every finish. Everyone receives a t-shirt and finisher medal. Park District athletic events are non-refundable. Registration deadline is September 16. (ZD)
