Earth Day Kite Fly Get ready for Earth Day and Celebrate National Kite Month with us! This free event is fun for all ages. Bring your own kite to fly or kick back and watch the pros. There will be professional demonstrations and stunts using giant kites. This event is held in conjunction with the Oswego Country Market Spring Market. Oswego Country Market: Spring Market Celebrate spring with your favorite summer activity by visiting the Oswego Country Market. Head out to Prairie Point Community Park to shop at some of your favorite vendors and enjoy the free community kite fly. Family & Friends Paint Night: Paint a Highland Cow Round up your favorite people for a fun night of paint ing together! With easy-to-follow guidance, you’ll paint your own Highland cow masterpiece on canvas. This class is beginner-friendly and designed for all ages. Come with friends, family, or both, and enjoy a relaxed night out making art together. You’ll leave with a finished painting and some fun shared memo ries! $20 per additional child. Saw Wee Kee Trail Run Series Take on the challenge of the Oswegoland Park District’s trail run series at Saw Wee Kee Park! This natural course winds through soft paths with plenty of twists, turns, and elevation changes, making for a thrilling run whether you’re navigating muddy conditions or dashing through fields of wildflowers. Runners are timed using bibs and start at staggered intervals. Each race in the series offers a unique course, seasonal swag, and a different piece of a collectible medal. The PrairieFest 5K will get started at 8:00am with the One Mile Prairie Dog Jog starting at 8:10am. Medals for first through third place finishers in each age group in the 5K. Fishing Derby Come on out for a great day of fishing. A catch and release tournament with prizes awarded to various categories.
