Park District Team Sports Philosophy We believe that every resident of the District should have an opportunity to take part in activities offered regardless of skill or ability. We believe that the individual participant is more important than win ning. Therefore, we offer programs that encourage individuals to achieve at their own level of interest and ability. Team Placement Info Teams are created according to the following criteria, when a player is registered by the deadline: Our goal is to keep teams balanced based on grade/ age and gender (when applicable) while accommo dating preferred practice days. We hope this equals the skill level and abilities in each division and maximizes player benefits within the program. Waitlist Registration Missed the registration deadline? Call us to be placed on the waitlist. You will be notified if your child can be accommodated off the waitlist. Buddy/Carpool Request ■ Only one request per player. ■ The player you request, must also request you. ■ Preferred practice days must match. ■ Requests must be submitted by the registration deadline. Volunteer Coach Incentive Program The Park District counts on volunteers to coach our youth sport programs. Seasoned coach or brand new to the game, we’d love to have you volunteer. The Park District provides training and support through out the season. All coaches are required to pass a background screening. The basic coach credit begins at $25. Coaches can earn additional credits by attending the pre-season coach meeting, and other educational opportunities offered by the District. Credit amounts are subject to change and coach obligations must be met in order to receive the credit. Parents can indi cate their interest in coaching during registration. ● Practices begin week of May 25 ● Practice options are Tuesday or Thursday ● Games will be played June 6-27. There will be 4 Saturday games and 3 Wednesday games. ● Saturday games scheduled between 9am-12pm, Wednesday games scheduled at 6 or 7:15pm ● Practices & Games last approximately one hour beginning at 6:00 or 7:15pm ● Practices & Games last approximately one hour ● Mouth guards required. Cleats optional. Girls Flag Football League ● Register by Tuesday, April 14 for $80(R)/$100(N) ● Registration accepted until Tuesday, April 28 for $100(R)/$120(N) ● Registration from waitlist $120(R)/$140(N) ● Refund requests must be made by Wednesday, May 25 1. Preferred practice day 2. Balance of Grade/Age 3. Balance of gender (when applicable) 4. Roster size 5. Buddy/Carpool Request

MVP T-Ball/Baseball In this transition league, players continue to improve their baseball fundamentals. The program focuses on enhancing players’ hitting, field, throwing, and base running skills. Sportsmanship and teamwork philoso phies will also be incorporated. Hitting progression will occur from tee use to a coach pitch format. (PT) Age: 5 - 6 32487 Jun 1-Jul 10 M,W,F 6:00-8:15pm 32488 Jun 2-Jul 10 T,Th,F 6:00-8:15pm Hall of Fame T-Ball/Baseball Players will put their hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running skills into action in this coach pitch league. The program will continue to focus on baseball fundamentals, mechanics, and rules along with sportsmanship and teamwork philosophies. (PT) Age: 6 - 8 32490 Jun 1-Jul 10 M,W,F 6:00-8:15pm Big Leagues Baseball This player & coach pitch baseball league is designed to bridge the gap between introductory baseball and full player-pitch play. This hybrid format gives young athletes the chance to develop pitching skills while keeping the game moving, competitive, and fun. T-Ball/Baseball Leagues ● Teams practice two of the three program days for the first two weeks (June 1-12) ● Beginning week three, teams will play games two of the three program days (June 15-July 10) ● Make-ups will be scheduled as needed & based on field availability. The season may be extended one week for make-up games. ● Located at Old Post or Wormley Heritage Park ● Practices & Games last approximately one hour beginning at 6:00 or 7:15pm ● Fee includes t-shirt & hat ● Players must bring their own glove. All other equipment is provided. ● Register by Tuesday, April 14 for $80(R)/$100(N) ● Registration accepted until Tuesday, April 28 for $100(R)/$120(N) ● Registration from waitlist $120(R)/$140(N) ● Refund requests must be made by Wednesday, May 25 Golden Glove T-Ball/Baseball Players are introduced to the fundamentals and basic rules of baseball. All players will hit from a tee to develop proper hitting mechanics. Throwing, field ing, base running, and sportsmanship will also be a primary league focus. Junior High Girls Flag Football 6th-8th Grade Girls will learn and play flag football in a fun and supportive environment. Players will build fundamental skills, teamwork, confidence, and sports manship through weekly games and age-appropriate instruction. No experience required.
