Otters Swim Team

Season Information The Otters offer an opportunity for your swimmer to participate in friendly and competitive meets with other conference teams. With daily practices, our swimmers will develop their competitive skills, learn sportsmanship, foster friendships, and experience the physical and emotional growth that comes with team sports. The Swim Team season begins with Evaluations and concludes with the Conference meet July 18. Visit our website for additional swim team information or register online. Practice Groups & Fees The minimum requirement to participate in Otters is the ability to swim 25 continuous yards of freestyle with breathing to the side and 25 yards of back stroke, both without touching the bottom, sides, or signs of distress. We will recommend the appropri ate swim lesson or program for any swimmer not able to meet the requirements. Information on evaluation dates will be posted on Team Unify. Green ($309 Reg/$269 Dual): Swimmers will be introduced to competitive swimming but should already know the basic front and back stroke as well as rotary breathing (breathing to the side). Green team is able to participate in our Intra-Squad Meet and Time Trials. White ($324 Reg/$284 Dual): Competitive swim ming skills are introduced and developed. Children will be expected to swim multiple lengths of the pool in all four competitive strokes. Red ($329 Reg/$289 Dual): Swimmers at this level are capable of legally swimming 50 yards or more of all four strokes and strong enough for medium level conditioning. Advanced skills are introduced and developed. Black ($334 Reg/$294 Dual): Swimmers at this level have been swimming competitively for several years and are ready for intense condition ing. Advanced skills are mastered. Dry land may be required.

Registration Participants will register by practice group. If you are a new swimmer or unsure of your practice group, please attend an Evaluation Day to be assigned to a group. Evaluation Days and times will be posted on Team Unify (oswegootters.org) .
