Pedestrian & Bicycle Trails The Park District has 20 miles of bike trails throughout the community. Trails are designed with your safety in mind and are marked with miniature traffic signs. Heed these signs just as you would the signs on any roadway.

Help make trail use pleasant for everyone: • Stay to the right. • Try not to walk or ride more than two abreast. • Pedestrians have the right-of-way. • Pass on the left.

Tree and Bench Donations Donate a tree as a living memorial to a loved one, friend, or neighbor. It might commemorate a special event or be a contribution from Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or other community groups. Trees will be enjoyed by many generations to come while improv ing our environment and providing shade and beauty for our parks. Inscribed plaques that commemorate donations are located in the Prairie Point lobby. You may prefer to donate a memorial bench. Several bench styles are available as well as the option of an engraved bronze plaque mounted on the bench.

• Ring a bell or use a verbal warning when passing. • Keep your pets leashed and clean up after them.

Trail maps are available at all Park District facilities and online.

Skate Parks Skateboards, inline skates, and bikes are all welcome at Park District skate parks. As with all parks in the District, park ordinances and state laws are enforced. The skate parks are open from dawn to dusk. Skateboarding is a hazardous activity. Park users are urged to know their own abilities and always skate in control. Helmets, gloves, pads and other safety equipment are recommended. Disc Golf Course at Eagle Ridge Park The Park District’s 18-hole disc golf course is located at Eagle Ridge Park. Parking is available at the Civic Center. Follow the Waubonsie Trail to the first tee. There is no fee to play. Keep Our Parks Clean Dog owners, our parks and trails are wonderful places to walk your pet, so enjoy a walk with Fido and be prepared to clean up after him. Help keep our parks clean for all to enjoy. Prevent Overpopulation of Geese Please don’t feed the geese and ducks that gather in area ponds. When they eat “people food” they do not receive nutrients they need to stay healthy. It also encourages them to congregate at feeding stations, leading to overpopulation. This overpopulation causes problems for people playing on shore and degrades the quality of the water. Call 911 if you see something that should not be occurring in your neighborhood park.

Reserve a Room or Picnic Shelter Planning a party, shower, or group meeting? The Park District has indoor space to accommodate groups from 20 to 150 people. Organizing a picnic in the park? Reserve a shelter at Hudson Crossing Park, Jaycee Park, Waa Kee Sha Park, Prairie Point Community Park, Violet Patch Park and the Community Park at Grande Park.
