Yin Yoga This Yin Yoga class offers relaxing poses that target the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Class is suitable to all levels of students through extended holds of postures as well as breath ing and meditation. Please bring a mat along with a blanket and pillow (or bolster.) Blocks and straps will be available. Yoga for Bones & Balance Research shows yoga can improve bone density and help reduce bone loss. Learn specific poses to build stronger bones, improve balance and posture as well as increase muscle mass. These will work to combat os teoporosis and other issues that can occur with aging and injuries. Please bring a yoga mat to class. Flexibility training can help reduce pain and stiffness, decrease stress, enhance performance and minimize wear and tear on joints. Using active and passive stretching, this class will focus on breath and tension release throughout the body. Props such as foam roll ers, straps and balls will be used to improve range of motion and help enhance daily activities.
