Stuffy and Me: Museum Mysteries Calling all special stuffed animals and friends! You are needed at the Museum to solve a history mystery. We received a suitcase full of objects and memories, and we need YOU to help us figure out who it once belonged to! Two Oswego natives, Dennis Fig gins and museum director Roger Matile, will be chat ting with audience members and discussing all things related to Oswego’s history. Why do we have so many? And who is buried there? On April 27, join members of the Oswegoland Heritage Association and the Oswegoland Park District on a bus tour of some of our local graveyards. The tour will begin and end at the Little White School Museum and last for about an hour. Pre-registration is required as there is limited space. “Lost Oswego” Lecture In recognition of National Historic Preservation Month, the Oswegoland Heritage Association presents a survey of Oswego’s lost landmarks, from architectur ally significant homes to schools, churches, and other buildings the community’s lost over the years. What happened to them? Why were they torn down? Find out on May 4th at the Little White School Museum! The presentation will include a Q&A and an interactive schools and cultural institutions using African percus sions, drums, storytelling, and song. Now she wants to share the insights gained in teaching Africana studies to audiences outside of academia. Presented in part nership with the Illinois Humanities “Road Scholar” Speakers Bureau. Oswego History Tour – Industrial Sector Where do you think the “industrial section” of Oswego existed from about 1840 - 1910? Join members of the Oswegoland Heritage Association and the Oswegoland Park District on a splendid bus tour of the industrial section “way back then.” The tour will begin and end at the Little White School Museum and last for about an hour. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Join us as we discover answers from Yesteryear!
