You’ll be filled with glee as you fill them with love and fluff (and extra stuff) and you will be ready to go on any adventure you can imagine. SawWeeKee Showdown Test your skills on the park you know best. Bikers will compete in one division to see who will have the fastest time. This course is for experienced riders. LEGORobotics Academy The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive program where children learn to design, build and program projects based on LEGO Education robotics. Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class uses teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging, and dynamic activities. Students are introduced to basic robotics and mechanical engineer ing concepts by building and coding a different project each week. Creative challenges are given to students as they progress through levels. The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience. Students move up a level each time they take the class in order to take on more ad vanced concepts and activities. This class is instructed by USEL/Chasewood Learning. Intro to Electrical Engineeringwith micro.bit micro:bit is a pocket-sized micro-computer board that introduces students to how software and hardware work together. It has an LED light display, buttons, speaker, microphone, sensors, and many input/output features that, when programmed, let it interact with you and your world. In this class, students will learn about the hardware features, how to program the micro:bit, and create projects such as an alarm system, thermometer, compass, sound machine, and more. micro:bit is a fun and easy way to get started in electri cal engineering! This class is instructed by USEL/ AbracadabraMagic Learn fascinating and mesmerizing tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, they are quick to learn and easy to perform! All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. “Oswego’s Curious Collections” Exhibit History isn’t always pretty, and neither are some of these objects! Stop by the Little White School Museum this spring to see some of our odd, unusual, and down right weird artifacts that we never put on display! This exhibit runs from April 1-June 3 and admission is FREE. MuseumMake-and-Take: Easter Eggs April is here, so it’s time to color some eggs! But don’t worry about any cooking, we’ll be using cardboard eggs to paint and decorate our spring creations. Stop by the museum anytime between 11 and 2 to join us for our fun-filled arts and crafts day. Price is per participant and comes with 1 egg to decorate and take home. PROGRESSIVE SWIM LESSONS (pages 18-20) The Oswegoland Park District uses a progressive swim program based on the Jeff Ellis Swimming (JES) guidelines to develop your child’s confidence and skills in the water.
If your child is struggling with a particular skill or level, please consider private/semi private lessons to help participants adapt to the swim programmore easily. For more infor mation about our Swim Lesson Program, please visit our website.
